Dr. Faithe is a proud DONA certified birth doula that is trained to prepare expecting mothers for the birth and labor process through education, birth planning, and advocacy. Dr. Faithe is experienced and qualified to attend the birth and labor process with expecting mothers who wish to have the benefits of a birth doula at their birth and labor.

What a Birth Doula is
A doula is an educator, advocate, and support system for you and your birth partner during the antepartum period, birth and labor, and postpartum period. Helping to prepare expecting mothers and fathers with evidence based information to make a unique and personalized birth plan, a birth doula does her best to make sure an expecting mother feels confident and prepared for birth. Birth doulas will attend the birth and labor to be the emotional support, physical support, and advocate that every birthing mother needs. During the postpartum period, a doula is a friend and confidant to assist a new mom emotionally and offer a helping hand.
Every mother deserves to have a birth story that shows her strength, commitment, and exemplifies the power of womanhood. I want to support, educate, and advocate for every expecting mother I have the honor of caring for.

Benefits of a Birth Doula
Research has shown that mothers who have continuous support throughout their birth and labor have decreased risk of cesarean, increased spontaneous vaginal birth, decreased use of pain medication, shorter labors, decreased risk of low APGAR score for delivered baby, and an overall better birthing experience.
